Was ROSIE THE RIVETER a real person? The answer is actually No & Yes. Rosie the Riveter represents a group of Women that stepped up during WWII to work in plants in assembling warplanes & ships. They were real life heroes and have been honored by their own Rosie the Riveter Museum The U.S. government launched the propaganda campaign of Rosie the Riveter back in WWII to show the ideal women worker as loyal, efficient, pretty and patriotic.
